4. Visiting the San Bushmen
The traditions and lifestyle of the San Bushmen is unlike any other. There is a rich history and desire for connectivity to nature, to their families and fellow San Bushmen, and to their traditions that creates an admirable air of peace and contentment among the people. What is particularly beautiful is the way they not only enjoy their simple way of life but love to share it with visitors. Many of the younger children have received local schooling and have a good understanding of English, meaning they can act as guides and help teach travelers about their traditions. It is a life-changing experience unlike any other and is not to be missed if you are travelling to Botswana.

5. See The Zebra Migration
Botswana’s Makgadikgadi and Nxai Pan national parks acts as the backdrop for perhaps the largest mass migration of zebra in southern Africa. From about March to April, the herd, which can number around 25,000 animals crosses into the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, a place unlike any other in Africa with its endless stretch of gleaming white salt pan. Of course, as the zebra move so do their predators meaning the likelihood of encountering lion, hyena, cheetah and the odd leopard also increases. Eventually, around September, the migrating zebra finish up at the Boteti River. The water and lush grazing here means the herd no longer needs to move any further south and from around November, they migrate back north again.
6. Camping in the Kalahari
